Labor Day,

First weekend in September

In other words, Labor Day is a holiday. In the United States, in the year 2014, it falls on Monday 1 September 2014.
There is a parade that starts at 10 am on 5th Avenue up to 44th Street and 72nd Street goes up always on the 5th Av.

Most businesses are closed, but everything related to tourism remains open course. The MET is known to remain open in this Labor Day.

 

 

New York Film Festival

This festival has brought to New York, international film capital, since 1963 some of the most inventive cinema films. It is the preferred place to see movies forefront before they have a hit. In the past the festival has been a springboard for Jean-Luc Godard, Pedro Almodovar and Martin Scorsese. The filmmakers did not want to look fearless projections vanguard series.

The festival stretches along Mulberry Street between Canal Street (south) and Houston Street (north). Ellel runs from east to west on Grand Street between Mott and Baxter Street, and east to west on Hester Street between Mott and Baxter Streets.

Know that there are many more people on weekends and evenings. So the tip is to go during the day and week. If you are traveling with young children, it will be easier to navigate the narrow streets to wear them with or without support in a stroller (especially evenings and weekends).

 

Little Italy is a neighborhood in Manhattan, vibrates throughout the year and the excitement reached its peak during the annual tribute of the Patron Saint of Naples. Streamers and lights adorn the streets and the crowd piled around each house pater. Join the partygoers for 11 days of parades, shows, Italian food and even baking contests. What you can do during this festival: dining in a restaurant in Little Italy, listen to music, try your luck at one of the many carnival games and taste to what is selling in the street: tiramisu, gelato (ice cream), Zeppole (fried with powdered sugar paste), Riepeni Mostaccioli (Italian cookie with fruit and nuts), Torrone (Italian candy made from honey, sugar and egg whites), braciole pork (pork finely crushed and rolled with garlic, cheese, peppers, and oregano), Fried Oreos and Sausage and Pepper barbecue.
