Besides Beijing, New York is probably the best place to celebrate the Chinese New Year. The celebration includes several days of free events, including the Firecracker Ceremony and Cultural Festival (it exploded firecrackers to ward off evil spirits), the flower market and the Lunar New Year parade.

Every winter, the most prestigious antiques Salon moved to Park Avenue Armory. The exhibition presents a selection of the finest pieces of antiques through the decorative arts. The exhibition is in favor of the East Side Social Work Centre.

 

The “Presidents’ Day” in French means “Presidents Day”. This name is given to a holiday in honor of the various presidents of the United States.

Officially, it is called the Washington’s Birthday.

This holiday is celebrated on the third Monday in February. It therefore falls on February 16 this year, 2015.

This date was set up because it honors the birthday of George Washington (born February 22) and Abraham Lincoln (February 12).

Founded in 1877, the Westminster Kennel Club is the oldest organization in the United States, dedicated to purebred dogs.
