New rules to increase your safety

July 4 this week, the security level will be increased on all aircraft in Canada.

This date marks the entry into force of a new requirement for adding a system to indicate when if an anaircraft is flying to close to the ground. The information provided to the crew by such system  (known has TAWS) will help them avoid impacts to the relief on the ground like a mountain. The system will send beeps upon impact and will allows the crew to take corrective measures.

Introduced in recent years around the world is on the newest aircraft, the TAWS system has saved many lives around the world.

Starting this week, even aircraft of a certain age will be required to have in place such a system which can sometimes cost thousands of dollars in investment. Some carriers that can’t meet this requirement will have to store some of their aircraft.
